Your Life Happens Right Before Breakfast.

Let’s face it! How productive your day is going to be is directly dependent on how you wake up and what you do immediately you wake up.

If you are an adult, your ideal day might look something like this: You are thinking more of working your *ss off to earn a living. You have a waiting project to complete, and a new one to embark on. You have meetups to attend with colleagues and friends – and things like that. There is therefore need to be productive – to make sure you are getting things done.

Therefore, today in this article, I am going to share with you 3 morning habits that have been scientifically proven to improve a person’s productivity throughout the day.

1. Cold Shower

A cold shower wakes you fully. What’s more sweet about cold shower is the freshness you get after taking it. 99% of people who take cold showers in the morning have confessed being more productive than those who do not. It makes you fresh and ready to dive on your activities of the day.

2. Journaling

You need a direction of what you want to do for the day. Most people start their day without a plan. If you are one of them, you are losing a lot. You are wasting time wandering around many tasks and accomplishing none at last. You need to learn and develop the habit of writing down what you want to do for the day.

Journaling your to-do list not only gives you a direction for your day. It also allows you to cut out noise (there’s always a lot of things demanding your attention). Therefore, you can focus on what is important and essential to accomplish by the end of the day.

Now, how much should you consider as your to-do list items? You don’t need to do 20 tasks a day to be productive. Because if you do, you will be draining and exhausting yourself. And that leads to depression and low self esteem. You don’t want that. So, here is how you do it. When you wake up, think of 3 most important and essential tasks that you want to accomplish for the day. Write them down, and plan how you will do each of them throughout the day – one at a time. That’s enough for a 99.9% productive day. It doesn’t strain you – and it cuts the noise out. You have a direction to focus on, with a 99.9% chance of success.

3. Meditating

The ever-changing world we live in right now needs more headspace than ever before. Because look at it, a lot of things are happening every second. Good and bad. And they are all happening simultaneously. Even as we narrow down to our day-to-day lives, things are happening. And they are crazy.

More than ever before, the world is experiencing deadly pandemics. And they are erupting every other day. From hunger to thirst, to wars, to diseases. People are losing jobs. There is more domestic violence than ever before. Governments are getting lost in debts and wars with each other. There is so much noise from outside and inside. Do you need to get lost in the noise? NO.

More than ever before, you deserve some headspace. You deserve to take care of your mental health. That’s why it’s recommended that from time to time – you meditate. And it’s even more recommended you do it in the morning – right before you start your important tasks for the day.

Studies have shown that meditating allows you to have a clear mind. Which is very important. Because you need to have a clear mind to see things from a clear picture. A clear mind helps you make clear decisions and choices. Don’t get lost in the loud noise coming from the world around you. When things are getting crazy, don’t be crazy. Develop the habit of finding time to be with yourself – and practice the art of meditation. Because you need and deserve your headspace.

I incorporated these 3 habits into my life and I saw a lot of improvements. I hope they will improve your life too – if you follow them. Just remember that, a habit is not developed in a day. Be consistent and be true to yourself. And you will see results.
