Programming: Start Here!

Sharing This Article Won't Cost You Nothing Except Love :)

So programming is the first ever real skill that I got to learn outside and after the ‘traditional’ school curriculum. When I got my hands into programming, I really became obsessed with it. And I believe it is because of two reasons: One, programming is really an interesting and engaging field to be. Before you get into it, your imaginations to taking part in creating programs and building robots that solve the unsolved problems of the world, is a whole thrilling experience. I don’t know about other people, but when I knew I was going to be writing codes and programming computers to do the things I want them to do, I could not wait to see myself actually doing that. I was super anxious and I just wanted to get started. And I believe this was helpful to me going forward because…interest is the engine of doing anything.

The second reason why I became obsessed with programming, is the promising reward of having programming skills. Truth be told, programming is a lucrative field to be in. According to the publicly available data out there, programmers are one of the most paid professionals of the world. And it makes sense. These are the people that build solutions to businesses’ problems. They are constantly developing apps, websites and systems to make people’s lives easier and better. And they make the world a nice place to be. So, why would the world not reward their work? Therefore, when I knew I was going to be one of the programmers, I was excited to do everything and put time to learn to actually get into the lucrative field.

Moving forward…

I found myself constantly and consistently learning and exploring new programming languages. I was constantly on the net connecting and networking with other programmers, while sharing my work too. Heck, I remember during my first years of learning programming, barely a day passed without me doing at least a single programming task in my computer. And that time…my computer was my most precious asset. Or rather it was the one thing I could not do without (perhaps that’s true even Today).

After 2 to 3 years however, the whole hype started coming down. Because I realized this is just a skill like any other. At this time, everything that I was now doing became ‘normal’ and not ‘crazy’ as I viewed it before. Perhaps the projects that I was doing and sharing with others were ‘crazy’ to them, but to me they were all normal. It was now normal to me picking up a new programming language whenever I felt like, and mastering it within a week. I think at this stage, my obsession with programming naturally fade away. And instead of me doing it as the thing to save the world, I was now doing it naturally like a hobby (or at least it felt so).

So, right now…

I don’t really do programming to be one of the highest paid employees of the world. Even though that feels a great thing. Learning programming however was a blessing to me. It taught me a lot. It taught me the discipline of how to learn a skill, how to do my own research and further learning in the things I am doing. And I believe that was rewarding.

Today, as I have hinted on you, I don’t really code or do programming so that I get paid the most dollars. And to be honest with you, I don’t do a lot of coding now. However, programming gave me the skills to move forward. For example, my previous programming experience gave birth to this website. I therefore found it useful to include programming as a topic inside my blog and website, and share with you my experiences. I hope by doing that, it will help those who are interested in programming, and give them some direction to start with.

The truth is, programming is a great field

Whether you are doing it as a hobby, or for fun or for a career, it is a great field. Therefore through the articles that I share here, my goal is to give you the tips to getting into the programming world. For example in this article, I share out my tips on How to Learn Any Programming Language 10 Times Faster.

From time to time, I will also be sharing with you what it feels like to be in programming. Because the truth is it is not always about the technical aspect of being in the programming field. It is all about the whole process of doing it, and the lessons you are learning along the way. The experience of connecting with other programmers and collaborating with them in doing your projects. The experience of putting yourself out there and sharing your work with the world. It is a whole great experience of growth. On that note, I also share with you the truth about programming.

Basically, I want to tell you programming is a good thing. If you ever think of going into the corporate path and getting a job, it can be lucrative. It will also give you the options to develop your own things. For example, it gave me the opportunity to start my own website. If you can also come up with something big that will ‘save’ the world, you might be the next Elon Musk. The most important thing is learning on your craft and getting something good out of it.

I hope you enjoy reading my articles on programming.

And if you do, ALWAYS remember to share with your friends and family who might enjoy them too. Because they will love you FOREVER for your unconditional kindness.
